Our Work

We help heritage sites, museums, nature reserves and landscape organisations use digital engagement tools to connect people more deeply with their place, stories and nature.

Here's what that looks like in practice.

Robin's Lantern Quest — National Trust Wallington

Challenge + Solution

Wallington needed a way to encourage families to explore beyond the House during the busy Christmas period. We created Robin's Lantern Quest — a story-led AR trail through the East Wood that brought a real Trevelyan family skating story to life around China Pond.

Visitors followed clues to collect six lanterns, unlock a magical AR skating scene, and discover location-specific stories about the history and nature of Wallington along the way. After completing the quest? A 20% café discount was waiting for them.

The results

  • 1,000+ downloads across iOS and Android in just two months

  • An estimated 2,760 visitors engaged with the app on site

  • Visitors returned to the app an average of 3.5 times — exploring stories and AR content long after their visit

  • 750 people claimed the café reward on completion — 27% of all app users

What we delivered

  • A fully designed and built iOS and Android app

  • Hand-drawn illustrations by a children's book illustrator

  • Location-specific interpretation content at each stop

  • On-site signage, staff briefing and launch support

  • Delivered on time and on budget

"Families revisited the quest after their day out to rewatch AR moments and explore Learn More content — confirming the experience continued to deliver value after the on-site journey ended."

The Forbidden Corner Quest — North Yorkshire

Challenge + Solution

The Forbidden Corner attracts over 100,000 visitors a year to its magical gardens in rural North Yorkshire. Their popular brass rubbing trail was paper-based, didn't work in wet weather, and struggled to hold children's attention across the whole site.

We transformed it into an immersive AR quest that gave visitors a reason to explore every corner.

The results

  • 1,200+ downloads and 2,500+ sessions in the first 60 days

  • 98% of app users rated their experience as excellent or good

  • 80% said the app would encourage them to visit again

  • Net Promoter Score of 86

  • 12% increase in per-head visitor spend

  • 840 new customer contacts added to their database in a season

What we delivered

  • A fully designed and built iOS and Android app

  • An AR treasure trail replacing the paper-based brass rubbing activity

  • 3D animated characters and personalised wizard profiles

  • Digital skills training for the team

  • In-app messaging tools to drive café and shop revenues
